From July 3 to 6, 2025, the third edition of Festival Vietnam took place in Lorient (France), offering a cultural journey deeply rooted in Vietnamese identity.

Key activities included a mini concert and workshop at a nursing home, an art exhibition, a parade of Vietnamese costumes through different eras, and the seminar “The Storytelling Ao Dai”—where the ao dai was celebrated as a vivid cultural language.

Notably, the documentary “The Guardian of Traditional Flames” was screened at Cinéville Lorient, recreating the preservation journey of five representative craft villages through the nuanced perspective of young filmmakers. Through music, art, costumes, and cinema, Festival Vietnam narrated Vietnam’s cultural story in the language of creativity and connection, affirming the enduring vitality and far-reaching influence of Vietnamese heritage in France.

Festival Vietnam 3 – Raconter l’histoire culturelle du Vietnam à Lorient

Du 3 au 6 juillet 2025, la troisième édition du Festival Vietnam s’est déroulée à Lorient (France), offrant un voyage culturel profondément marqué par l’identité vietnamienne.

Les temps forts incluaient un mini-concert et un atelier dans une maison de retraite, une exposition artistique, un défilé de costumes vietnamiens à travers les époques, ainsi qu’un colloque intitulé « L’ao dai qui raconte » – où cette tenue traditionnelle a été célébrée comme un langage culturel vivant.

Particulièrement marquant, le documentaire « Des mains qui préservent la tradition » a été projeté au Cinéville Lorient, retraçant le parcours de cinq villages artisanaux à travers le regard sensible de jeunes cinéastes. Par la musique, l’art, le costume et le cinéma, le Festival Vietnam a raconté l’histoire culturelle du Vietnam dans le langage de la créativité et de la connexion, affirmant la vitalité durable et l’influence profonde du patrimoine vietnamien en France.
